Supply Chain Toolworks’ executive team is made up of experienced supply chain veterans that know technology and consulting is not the final answer to problems. They focus on process and tangible success. They offer a wealth of experience and solid results in the field of Operations Strategy Planning.

Chief Executive Officer
Steve Johanson founded Supply Chain Toolworks on the premise that operations planning is and will always be a very human process. He draws on experience from helping over 50 planning organizations in the food and beverage industry. Through this experience he has developed new tools and approaches to make operations planning successful at driving bottom line and performance based results. Prior to founding Supply Chain Toolworks, he worked on Oracle’s Demand Flow Technology product and other supply chain applications. He managed a line of semiconductor manufacturing equipment at Applied Materials. Steve also served in the United States Navy as the Navigator for the USS Lake Champlain and taught History and Celestial Navigation for the University of Rochester. He holds BS in Aerospace Engineering from The United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland and M.B.A. from University of Rochester (Beta Gamma Sigma). Chief Technology Officer
Dr. Vijay Hanagandi has an expertise in supply planning optimization and business process modeling. His combination of academic sophistication and practical experience has led to the development of practical solutions to complicated and strategic level problems. He is the architect of our “sandbox” modeling and “Facilitated Optimization.”
Dr. Hanagandi holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering with Operations Research and Optimization as thesis concentration from Texas A&M University. He has worked on projects for Fortune 100 companies improving their supply chains and manufacturing operations and has five patents and numerous publications in refereed journals and conferences.
